I am very active in animal welfare, advocacy, and rescue. I am one of the leaders of the no-kill movement in Georgia:
- Chairman of the Companion Animal Advisory Board (formerly the Animal Protection Steering Committee) at the Georgia Department of Agriculture.*
* I do NOT represent the official position or voice of the Georgia Department of Agriculture. - Founder of Cobb County Animal Advocates, Inc. - a public policy activist organization seeking to create a No-Kill Cobb.
- Founder of Animal Advocacy Inc. - a statewide non-profit organization that supports local no-kill movements throughout Georgia.
- Leadership Team of Georgia Voters For Animal Welfare – the leading public policy activist organization for animal welfare in Georgia.
- Volunteer and foster parent for Cherokee County Humane Society.
- Volunteer at Southern Hope Humane Society (currently inactive).
- Amateur animal behaviorist, specializing in rehabilitation of aggressive dogs.
